How to Begin a Khutbah (Sermon) in Arabic?

To proceed:

إن الحمد لله نحمده ونستعينه ونستغفره، ونعوذ بالله من شرور أنفسنا ومن سيئات أعمالنا، من يهده الله فلا مضل له،  ومن يضلل فلا هادي له، وأشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له وأشهد أن محمداً عبده ورسوله

يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ

يَاأَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ نَفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالا كَثِيرًا وَنِسَاءً وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي تَسَاءَلُونَ بِهِ وَالأَرْحَامَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيبًا

يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَقُولُوا قَوْلا سَدِيدًا يُصْلِحْ لَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَمَنْ يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا

فإن أصدق الحديث كتاب الله وأحسن الهدي هدي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم وشر الأمور محدثاتها وكل محدثةٍ بدعةٍ وكل بدعةٍ ضلالةٍ وكل ضلالةٍ في النار

أما بعد

TRANSLATION

All thanks and praise is due to Allah, whom we seek His help and forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from whatever evil our hearts conceal and from the consequences of our evil deeds. Whoever Allah grants guidance will never be led astray. Whoever He leads astray will never find guidance. I attest that none is worthy of worship except Allah, who has no partners, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims in submission to Him. [Surah Aali Imran 3:102]

O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer. [Surah An-Nisa 4:1]

O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice. He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment. [Surah Al-Ahzab 33:70-71]

Indeed, the most truthful speech is the Book of Allah, the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad, and the worst affairs are newly invented matters. Every newly invented matter is a religious innovation, and every religious innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Hellfire.

TRANSLITERATION
innal hamdu lillahi nahmadahu wa nastaeinuhu wa nastaghfiruhu, wa naouzu billahi min shurur anfusina wa min sayiyat aamalinaa, man yehdihi’llah fala mudilla lah, wa man yudlil fala hadi lah

wa ash’hadu ana laa ilaha ill allah wahdahu la sharika lah wa ash’hadu ana muhammdan abdahu wa rasuluhu.

ya ayuhal lazina aamanu ataqullah haqa tuqatihi wala tamutuna ila wa antum muslimun

ya ayuhan naas ataquu rabakum alazi khalaqakum min nafsin wahidatan wa khalaqa minha zawjaha wa basa minhum rijalan kathiran wa nisaan wataqullah alazi tasa’alun bih wa arham innallah kan alaykum raqiba

ya ayuhal lazina aamanu ataqullah wa qawlu qawlan sadidan yuslih lakum aamalakum wa yaghfir lakum zunubakum wa man yutie allah wa rasulahu faqad faz fawzan azima

fa’ina asdaq al hadis kitaballah wa ahsan al huda hadi muhammad sal allahu alayhi wassalam wa shar al umur muhdasatiha wa kula muhadasatiha bidah wa kula bidatin zalalah wa kuli zalalatin fin nar
